The Walk of Fame was inaugurated in 1996 to commemorate the great Musicians, Bands and Songwriters of the Golden Age of American Popular Music...the '20s, '30s, and '40s.

Each year, Foundation Members cast their ballots to determine who will be recognized, honored, and have their plaque added to the Walk of Fame.

Membership Matters - the Sweet and Hot Music Foundation

Thank you for your support of the Sweet and Hot Music Foundation and for your dedication to keeping the music of America’s Golden Age vibrant and alive in our reality as well as in our memories.

It is with your help and support that the Sweet and Hot Music Foundation is able to present the great music that we know and love; Golden tunes from 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940 and 1950.

It is with your help that the Sweet and Hot Music Foundation can continue to provide these extraordinary musicians for your dancing and listening enjoyment.

It is with your help that the Sweet ands Hot Music Foundation is able to provide you with a full-service musical event, complete with the finest jazz, vintage, blues, classic, mainstream, big band and sophisticated musical performances available.

It is with your help and support that the Sweet and Hot Foundation can offer a stage for the outstanding performance of aspiring young talent in the JazzAmerica Jazz Class each year. These young, ambitious and deserving performers fill our hopes for the music to live into the future.

It is with your help and support that the Sweet and Hot Music Foundation has been able to make the dream of a walk dedicated to and celebrating the music and the musicians of America’s Golden Age of Popular Music become reality here in the beautiful garden atrium of the LAX Marriott Hotel.

As we prepare for another phase of the Walk of Fame, we are again asking you to cast your vote for your favorites among the icons already enshrined in the walk. We will revisit them at the Awards show on Thursday, August 28, 2008, in the Roseroom of the LAX Marriott Hotel. Indicate your choice under each category on the enclosed ballot and return it to the Sweet and Hot Music Foundation on or before June 10, 2008.

The Sweet and Hot Music Foundation is your foundation. It is your music, America’s music and with your help and support the music will live on for a long, long time. Thank you.
