Celebrate our treasured American Music with a gift to help keep the music live and on stage for the next generations.

It may seem like a conceit to work so hard for what may seem to be a naïve and frivolous aspect of Americana , but, just for a moment consider that this music represents a true American art form. It could not have been born any place else but here in America where all the components came together to form a whole.

Some of the music has unsavory beginnings and some came from the vast amalgam of peoples that are America. True, times change and life moves on, but this music, the music of America is a part of our heritage and, in its own way as classic and important as the music that we revere from earlier centuries. We never had a Royal family to sponsor the composers and performers or great cathedrals that became the repository for the music of those centuries, however our art is as innovative and creative as those earlier works…..But, our music is syncopated, made by the people for the people.

It doesn’t matter how much you give, only that you give. Check out the many ways in which you can celebrate our heritage. Financial support keeps the venues open and the artists paid. In-kind support helps defray expenses and spreads the word to others in the community.

Please accept our thanks for your support and keep the faith!

Sweet and Hot Music Foundation

Jazz it Up
Participate: Attend live music functions, festivals and concerts. Hire live music groups for your functions, both personal and through your organizations, workplaces and clubs. Join a jazz club or society, or a dance group. Dancing is one of the best exercises for your health and you get to hug someone in the bargain. Request the music on your local radio station. Buy c-d’s, ask the store to stock your favorite performers. Listening, dancing and making new friends are all benefits, all good and all good for you. Not only will you be helping to preserve the music, but you will be enriching your life.

Good Vibrations
Enlist: Spread the word; Invite Friends, hand out brochures and Information at the functions that you attend- church groups, senior centers, PTA meetings, Tupperware parties! Each of us can act as ambassadors in support of the music programs.

For the Love of Music
Volunteer: The festivals and concerts depend on volunteer help to present the music in a comfortable and professional venue. Volunteers are needed in many areas, not only at the function but before, during and after! You may have a skill or some talent or time that you can give in support of the music that would be invaluable to success. And it can be lots of Fun!

Perfect Harmony
Sponsor: Festivals and concerts are anxious to offer the very best talent and entertainment. Your financial sponsorship of a stage or performance or a performer is always welcome. Sponsors can also assist with in-kind services such as printing, for instance, or many other services that may not be available otherwise.

The Right Note
Youth Sponsor: The Foundation is dedicated to presenting and preserving the music, in order to accomplish this goal we need to have an active youth participation program. Sponsoring young talent by contributing to the foundation will allow more paid performances, tutoring scholarships, even purchasing music instruments or donating that gently used instrument now stored in the hall closet can further this need.

Make A Joyful Noise
Buy Ad Space: The program is the only source of scheduling information and performing artists that is available to the public other than this website. It is a keepsake commemorating the year and your participation in the event. The ad can represent your business or it can just be FUN! Put in a personal message, create a page or a space to honor your favorite performer or dance partner or send a special message to a special someone in a lasting remembrance of the event. The ad-space money will directly assist in reducing the cost of printing the program.
